A tiny uppercase 7-by-9 BDF font with digits and a few marks. Every decision is visible, and none of the pixels can hide behind explanation.
Maker note
A bitmap font is closer to a tool edge: every decision is visible. Lantern 7 contains space, hyphen, period, colon, digits, and A-Z.
The letters are built from five active columns with one column of air on either side, so the shapes feel held in a narrow frame rather than packed edge to edge. The missing lowercase keeps the font from pretending to be complete.
